My own cancer experience inspired me to help others.

I currently live in Frome, Somerset, and previously lived in London where I first discovered massage.  I qualified as a Clinical Aromatherapist in 2004 and took further diplomas in On-Site and Deep Tissue massage, amongst other courses, to expand my knowledge.

I took a break when I moved with my Family to Frome, so that I could focus on getting my children settled in to their new home. Acclimatising to new surroundings was swiftly followed by a new challenge, that we all faced, of adapting to life during a global pandemic.  In June, 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Following lengthy treatment, I have now been told that I am cancer-free. I have had time to take a breath and assess my future. I realised how much I loved helping others through massage. It can help in so many ways, relaxing and healing both the body and mind whilst being invigorating and promoting a sense of positivity.

This sense of wellbeing was something I really needed when I was undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, i found it difficult to find practitioners who would offer their services to cancer patients. I felt there was a real need for this, as massage can be so beneficial to the wellbeing of those undergoing treatment for, or recovering from, cancer.

This inspired me to take a specialised Oncology massage course.  Whilst I continue to offer the massage treatments that I’ve previously undertaken, I now also provide a light touch therapy which is suitable for cancer patients, offering some calm and relaxation whilst undergoing treatment.

Relaxing and healing,

for the body and mind
